In 2021, the French brand introduced a prototype of the “off-road” electric car My Ami, a Buggy version with a design in the spirit of professional SUVs.
Citroen fans appreciated the idea and the company decided to make an unusual quadricycle serial. The new Citroen My Ami Buggy was released in a limited edition of fifty copies, all of which were available exclusively online. And the demand for the model turned out to be such that all the “SUVs” planned for release scattered like hot cakes.
Citycar largely repeats last year’s concept, although the model has become a little simpler on the way to the conveyor. But the tubular frame instead of doors, a sliding fabric roof, black accents on the body and bright interior decor, combined with golden 14-inch wheels, remained.
Technically, Citroen My Ami Buggy has not changed, retaining a standard 8-horsepower electric motor and a 5.5 kilowatt-hour battery, which allows you to drive at a maximum speed of 42 kilometers per hour up to 75 kilometers without recharging.
Exactly at noon on June 21, online sales of the new model began. All 50 electric vehicles found their owners in 17 minutes and 28 seconds, and the fastest customer placed an order in just 2 minutes 53 seconds. Deliveries of the special version of the quadricycle to the owners began in August.
